In today’s English lesson, the children went on a sensory walk around the school grounds. They engaged all five senses to describe their surroundings. They touched the tickly grass, feeling its softness and texture, and even tried to taste the fresh air. They listened to the rustling of the leaves and the distant sound of traffic whizzing by. They observed the vibrant flowers and the beautiful blue sky above. Afterward, they brainstormed adjectives to describe these experiences, using words like "delicate," "spiky," "crisp," "rustling," "bright," and "colourful" to enhance their vocabulary and descriptive writing.

The PTA Family Picnic was a huge success! The sun was shining and we were overwhelmed by the amount of people who attended.
A huge thank you to everyone for their support and a massive thank you to the PTA for all of the hard work they put into organising these events.
We would like to wish everyone a lovely summer.
We look forward to welcoming the children back after the holiday on Wednesday 3rd September.

This term Year 2 have used Lila and the Rain as our Power of Reading book. Our second piece of writing based on this book was a non-chronological report based on Kenya. We spent time collecting information, organising this under subheadings before planning and creating these fantastic information leaflets. We enjoyed making them eye catching too.

For an end of term treat Year 2 have spent time exploring the artist Hokusai. We focussed on his famous piece - The Wave. We used line drawings to create the effect of movement, mixed colours to enhance this and then finally added a sunset sky. We now feel ready for our holidays and trip to the sea!

Year 6 End of Year Production – Treasure Island!
What a show! Our amazing Year 6 pupils wowed us all with their action-packed performance of Treasure Island. From confident acting to brilliant singing, every moment was full of energy and excitement. We couldn’t be prouder of how each child shone on stage — a true celebration of their hard work and creativity. Well done, Year 6!

We announced the winners of our KS1 talent competition yesterday! All the finalists gave incredible performances, and the results were very close. A huge well done to everyone who took part and auditioned - we are already looking forward to next year’s event!

We are extremely proud of our Year 4 and Year 6 children who attended the MAC Sports Day last week. The children gave it their all and everybody had a fantastic day. Year Four came first in their category bringing home a trophy and Year Six came second. Well done everyone!
