KS2 prayer leaders from Years 4, 5 & 6 went to Trinity School in Leamington on Monday to take part in an Advent retreat morning. They took part in a carousel of activities lead by the wonderful staff and pupils at Trinty including advent wreath making and creating Jesse tree ornaments for the tree. They represented St Marie's extremely well and it was a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Year 4 had a fantastic afternoon working with our Science Ambassadors on a hands-on investigation into tooth decay. Our ambassadors took the lead in guiding the class through an experiment using eggshells to report, present and communicate findings about how different liquids can affect our teeth. The session was a great example of collaboration in action. Year 4 worked brilliantly with the ambassadors, sharing ideas, making predictions and observing changes together. We’re so proud of the confident leadership shown by our Year 6 Science Ambassadors and the enthusiastic teamwork from Year 4.

Advent Assembly & Blessing!
What a special morning we had yesterday marking the official start of Advent! Today, we gathered for our beautiful Advent Assembly, where Father came to visit our school. He performed a lovely blessing over:
Our magnificent Christmas Tree, bringing light and joy to our hall.
Our Advent Wreath, symbolising hope, peace, joy, and love as we journey towards Christmas.
Our special Travelling Crib, which will be visiting some of our school families over the next few weeks!
This wonderful blessing officially begins the season of Advent—a time of preparing our hearts and getting ready to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Keep an eye on our page for more Advent activities and news!

Christmas Fayre – A Huge Success!

Year 1 have had a wonderful time creating their Angel artwork, which will be on display for parents after school on Monday. The pieces look fantastic and we are incredibly proud of the children. Today, the firefighters returned to deliver a safety workshop for the Year 1 class. The students practised key fire safety routines, including stop, drop, and roll. They also learned how to stay safe at home, what to do if a fire occurs, and why knowing their address is essential in an emergency. If your child is not yet confident with their address, please take some time to practise it with them.

Year 6 Science – Exploring Electricity!

Advent Christmas Morning at School!
Last Wednesday our classrooms were filled with joy as our students and their families came together to create beautiful Advent and Christmas decorations.
