Year 5 meet with the Rugby Fire Brigade today for a talk on fire safety, especially around the home. The pupils really enjoyed the talk and learned a lot from the various safety points to avoid fires spreading, keeping safe and why not to hoax call the emergency services. A big thank you to Rugby fire service for sharing their time and knowledge with us today.

Over the last few weeks Nursery have been reading the book 'The Gruffalo'. They have loved learning the Makaton signs, hearing the rhymes and retelling the story with puppets and masks. To finish our learning, we each designed a book review. We had to draw our favourite part from the story!

As this term comes to an end the children have been reflecting on what we have been doing in Forest School. I am sure parents have seen bracelets, clay models and art work and heard stories of hot chocolate and biscuits. The nature quiz has been popular - mainly because the prize for a correct answer was another biscuit! The children have their last session next week and I'm sure year 3 are looking forward to starting sessions after half term.

On Wednesday, Year 1 were visited by local firefighters for an engaging fire safety workshop. The firefighters taught the children about their role and gave them important safety tips. The children were excited to see a real firefighter uniform and to ask questions, learning firsthand about the role of firefighters in keeping the community safe. We look forward to them returning later on in the term to teach us more safety tips.
